Electric Overhead Traveling Crane Industry History
Just ask my wife, I’m a bit of a “packrat”. Every time I see a brochure, a handbook or a catalog from the first half of the 20th Century, I file it away. Part of the beauty of this digital age is that I now can share my collection. As I get time to scan these documents, I will put the best of them on this website.
If any of you have something in your collection that you want to share, give me a call ( contact info at bottom of page ). If it’s not already digitized, I would be glad to digitize it for you and return in the the exact condition I received it in. And I absolutely promise to return your piece of history. I’ll even pay the return postage.

Whiting Cranes- 1920’s
Here’s a booklet I found on Ebay. I’m guessing it’s from the 1920’s, but there’s no dates printed on the document.
Manning Maxwell & Moore
This is one my father gave me. It’s dated 1951. Manning Maxwell and Moore was located at Muskegon Michigan and was a precursor to Shaw-Box.
National Historic Landmark
The story behind this Jib Crane is amazing. Up until the beginning of the 19th Century, bored logs were used for water mains. This is the story how cast pipe replaced the bored logs.
